Drift Anchor by Canvas USA® is used for slowing the boat down while fishing etc. This is not made like the light duty ones you have seen in other stores. Saltwater and fishing guide tested. Made of heavy vinyl with a pull strap for ease of dumping the water when pulling in the boat. We would like to say oyster proof but we are working on that. If you have never used one, it is easy to operate. Tie the drift anchor line about in the middle of boat or toward the front and let it drag in the water about 5 ft. Some fisherman use two drift anchors one in front and another in the middle. It is good to tilt your motor in the water a little to help steer. Size is your preference, fishing guides that have a several people on board choose the 42 inch drift anchor. We personally use 2 - 36 inch drift anchors on our 22 ft. fishing boat. Made in USA  |
