Canvas, vinyl and gelcoat do not give up all at once. They go a season at a time, at the seams and along the sun line, and the difference between five years and fifteen is what you put on them. Everything here keeps canvas, vinyl and gelcoat looking new season after season: the washes and mildew removers that lift what settles into fabric, the waxes and protectants that hold a finish, the teak and interior care that stops grey, and the brushes, pads and polishers that do the work.
Match the product to the surface, not to the stain. A hull cleaner strong enough for a waterline will strip the water repellency straight out of acrylic canvas, and a solvent that brings gelcoat back will haze clear vinyl for good.
