People sometimes impersonate real companies to run fake job offers. This page tells you how to know a genuine Canvas USA® approach from a fraudulent one.
Canvas USA® will never do any of these
• Ask you for money. Not for training, not for equipment, not for a background check, not for a visa, not for anything. There is no fee to apply or to be hired.
• Ask for your bank details, Social Security number or a copy of your ID before a real interview and a written offer.
• Send you a check and ask you to buy equipment with it, or to forward part of it on. That is a check-fraud scam and the check will bounce after your bank has taken the money back.
• Offer you a job on the strength of a text or chat message alone.
• Interview you only through a messaging app.

How to tell it is really us
• Our recruiters write from an @canvasusa.com address. Look closely — a scam often uses a near-miss like canvasusa-jobs.com or canvas-usa.net.
• Our openings are posted on our own careers page. If a role is not there, be careful.
• A real offer comes in writing, and you can always call 888-341-1234 and ask whether the person contacting you works here. Please do. We will never be annoyed by that call.

If you think you are being targeted
Stop, and do not send money or documents. Then tell us at [email protected] with "Recruitment Scam" in the subject line, and forward the message if you still have it. It helps us get the fake accounts taken down.
If you have already sent money or personal information, contact your bank straight away and report it to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
