Materials & Construction
Corrosion Block is a clean synthetic fluid that penetrates corrosion cells to displace trapped moisture, then dries to a clear, hydrophobic film that keeps new corrosion from forming on metal surfaces.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Gets into the tight spots. It works deep into joints, connectors and the area around fasteners, where corrosion tends to begin.
- Dries clean, not waxy. Unlike waxy products, it dries to a moisture-proof, non-tacky finish. You get a clear film, not a sticky coating.
- Easy to keep on board. It is non-hazmat, non-flammable and non-toxic, so it is a simple product to keep aboard.
- Fall is a good time to treat metal. Spray it before the boat sits for winter, so the protective film is in place to guard against future corrosion.
What it is
This is a 32oz bottle of Corrosion Block fluid, made by Corrosion Block, with a built-in pump sprayer. The fluid is ready to use as sold. Its synthetic additives go into existing corrosion and push out the salt water there, which then evaporates, leaving a clear, moisture-proof film behind.
How to use it
- Point the built-in pump sprayer at the metal surface, connector or fastener.
- Let the fluid penetrate fully before it dries.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: other corrosion protection products for the metal parts you treat.
