Why you'll want it

• Lifts grime, salt and bird deposits. It takes dirt, salt and bird deposits off sails and canvas, so your fabric looks cleaner.

What it is

This Star brite product is a concentrated cleaner sold in a 16 oz size. It cleans, protects and deodorizes natural or synthetic sails. It is intended for use on canvas, boat covers, bimini tops and other marine fabrics.

How to use it

1. On a spot, spray the cleaner right onto the stain and wait 30 seconds.
2. Rub the spot gently with a cloth, sponge or soft brush.
3. Rinse well with fresh water.
4. For a large area, mist the whole section evenly and wait 30 seconds to 1 minute.
5. Use a cloth, sponge or soft brush to lift dirt, then rinse the whole area well.
6. For a stubborn stain, do the step again and give it more time to soak in before you rinse.

What else the job needs

Good to have on hand: a soft brush for gentle scrubbing, plus fresh water for rinsing.
