    The RUPES Air Jet Pad Cleaner is a compressed-air tool that blasts debris and compound out of buffing and polishing pads while extracting dust, keeping pads cleaner and more effective between uses.

    Why you'll want it

    • Fresh pad for every pass. Compressed air lifts compound, wax, and debris off your pads in a few moments, so each pass starts clean.
    • Dust gets pulled in as you clean. Built-in dust extraction draws loose material away from the pad as it is cleaned.
    • Pads may last longer. Clearing out buildup and residue may help your pads hold up longer.
    • Tidy up before winter. Fall is a good time to tidy your polishing gear before the cold months, so it is ready when spring comes.

    What it is

    This is a cleaning tool made by RUPES for the pads used in buffing and polishing. It runs on compressed air and uses built-in dust extraction to clear those pads.

    How to use it

    1. Attach the cleaner to a compressed air line.
    2. Place the pad against the nozzle.
    3. Turn on the air jet to knock loose and draw out compound, wax, and debris.
    4. Clean between polishing steps, or once buildup starts to hurt how the pad works.

    What else the job needs

    Good to have on hand: a compressed air source, since this cleaner hooks up to one. Pairs well with the pads you already use for buffing and polishing.
