This is a concentrated powdered cleaner that, when mixed with water, breaks down and lifts embedded polishing compounds and waxes from buffing pads, dock lines, and bonnets, restoring them to a like-new, reusable condition.

Why you'll want it
- Pads come back ready to use. This cleaner dissolves caked-on residue from wool, foam or blended pads, so the pads are ready to use again.
- One mix covers many batches. Mixed at 2 scoops per 2 gallons of water, the powder makes about 10-12 batches. The mixed solution stays effective for up to one week.
- Works on lines and bonnets too. The same cleaner suits dock lines, microfiber bonnets and cotton bonnets, so one product covers more of your boat gear.
- Wash dock lines as you store for winter. Dock lines should be washed each year or as needed to remove stains from mold, mildew, algae and dirt. Doing it as the boat goes into winter storage means the lines are ready when spring comes.
What it is
This is Shurhold's Serious Pad Cleaner, 12oz, made in the USA. It is a powdered concentrate: you mix it with warm water, and the solution works on wool, foam and blended buffing pads. The 12oz size includes a measuring scoop.
How to use it
- Add 1 scoop (or 1 tbsp.) of powder to 1 gallon of warm water in a plastic container.
- Stir until the powder is fully mixed, and make only what the job needs.
- Soak pads, dock lines or bonnets for up to 15 minutes. Soak heavily soiled items longer.
- Agitate and brush lightly. For dock lines, Shurhold's Rope Brush is named for scrubbing.
- Rinse with clean water, then let pads air dry fully before reuse.
- Use the mixed solution within 7 days, or sooner with heavy use.
