    • Made for marine use. The formula is aquatic-safe and designed for marine applications, so it suits work around the water.
    • Helps keep the finish looking good. It is meant to help keep your vessel's look, shine and color intact.
    • Clean up before winter storage. Fall is a good time to clear rust marks before the boat goes into winter storage, so the finish is clean when you open it up again.

    What it is

    Gtechniq Marine makes this 5L surface cleaner for rust. It is designed to pull rust, mineral deposits and other contaminants off a boat's paint or gel coat. The container size is 5 liters.

    How to use it

    1. Pick a shaded, well-ventilated spot for the job.
    2. Rinse loose dirt away first with a hose or a jet wash.
    3. Shake the bottle thoroughly and wear gloves.
    4. Spray the cleaner onto the surface and leave it for 3-5 minutes. Ferrous particles break down and the liquid turns purple.
    5. Do not let the cleaner dry on the surface.
    6. Rinse off the residue. Repeat if needed.
    7. For heavy soil, scrub with a soft-bristled brush or the MF1 ZeroR cloth, a microfiber buff.
    8. Keep it in a cool, dry spot. Keep it no longer than 12 months after you open it.

    What else the job needs

    Good to have on hand: a hose or jet wash for the first rinse, gloves, and a soft-bristled brush or the MF1 ZeroR cloth for heavy soil.
