Why you'll want it

What it is

This is a 3/4 inch by 164 foot washdown hose from Trident Marine. The tube and cover are yellow FDA-grade PVC. Inside the wall sits 3-ply polyester reinforcement (layers that add strength and help the hose last).

How to use it

1. Hook the hose to your boat's washdown pump or a dockside spigot.
2. Uncoil only the length you need.
3. When you finish, drain the water and coil it loosely so it does not kink.
4. After salt water use, rinse the outside with fresh water and store it coiled in a dry, shady spot.

What else the job needs

Add a spray nozzle and a hose reel or hanger to keep it tidy. Boat soap and a soft deck brush finish the washdown.
