    This is a 100% steamed twisted wool cutting pad designed for aggressive compounding on paint surfaces. Its curved edge design helps minimize pad-edge marks while delivering fast, heavy-cutting performance.

    Why you'll want it

    • Clears sanding marks and haze. It is made for the marks left by sanding at 1000 to 1500 grit, plus oxidation that runs heavy to medium.
    • Twisted wool cuts hard and fast. Of the wool pads listed, the twisted type is the most aggressive, so it works fast on tough paint.
    • Fewer edge marks while you compound. The curved edge is listed to cut down on marks from the pad edge while you compound.
    • Good fall job before winter storage. Fall is a good time to take oxidation off gel coat before winter storage. The pad is listed for automotive paint, gel coat and aluminum.
