    This is a 6.5" x 1" foam finishing polishing pad built with CCS Technology, a pattern of partially closed foam cells that keeps polish on the working surface instead of letting it soak in below, resulting in more consistent polish performance and a smoother finish.

    Why you'll want it

    • More polish stays where it works. Small CCS pockets let polish out as you need it. Less of it gets lost inside the pad.
    • Built for the final refining step. The black foam is the finishing pad. It helps remove the light haze left by the cutting step before it.
    • Run it flat without skipping. The CCS pockets reduce surface tension, so you can keep the pad flat on the surface as you work.
    • Bring back the shine before winter. Fall is a good time to finish the boat's surface before winter storage. This pad is the finishing step.

    What it is

    The Lake Country HDO Black Finishing Polishing Pad is a 6.5 inch by 1 inch foam pad made by Lake Country. It is the black finishing pad, meant for the finishing stage of polishing. It uses CCS Technology, a pattern of partly closed foam cells that release polish slowly.

    How to use it

    1. Use it in the finishing stage, after the cutting step.
    2. Use it with an extra fine finishing polish.
    3. On very soft paint, it could also work alone as a one-step pad for very light swirls.
