    Materials & Construction

A single-step marine fiberglass wax formula that cleans, restores, and protects fiberglass surfaces, leaving behind a radiant high-gloss finish and long-lasting protective coating.

    Product Description

    Why you'll want it

    • Lifts stains a wash leaves behind. This single-step formula clears away film, faint oxidation, discoloration and marks on fiberglass. It is made for stubborn spots that regular washing misses.
    • Two jobs in one. The formula does the work of two steps at once, so you spend less time and effort on each surface.
    • A glossy, lasting shine. It leaves a radiant, high-gloss finish with a protective coating. Its protection holds for 2-3 months against weathering, UV and salt spray.
    • Ready for fall weather. Apply it this fall to help guard your fiberglass through the coming weather. Its protection holds for 2-3 months.

    What it is

Collinite 870 Marine Fiberglass Fleetwax is a single-step wax made by Collinite for marine fiberglass. This 64oz size is sold as an individual item. It lifts film, faint oxidation, discoloration and stains, then leaves a protective coating behind.

    How to use it

    1. Hand use: put a nickel-sized dab on an applicator pad.
    2. Work it in with firm pressure across an area about 2x2 ft., rubbing until just before it begins to dry.
    3. Wipe with a microfiber towel to bring up a crisper, darker, more reflective look.
    4. Machine use: put five pea-sized dots on the pad and keep it from getting soaked.
    5. Set the buffer to 5800 opm (orbits per minute). Make 2-3 passes over an area no larger than 2x2 ft., with firm pressure.
    6. Drop the speed to 4800 opm and make 2-3 more passes, pressing lighter.
    7. Buff until just before it dries. Never dry buff.
    8. Wipe off the leftover product to show a clean, glossy surface.

    What else the job needs

Good to have on hand: a microfiber towel for buffing off and an applicator pad for hand application, both named in the directions. For machine use, a buffer is named in the directions as well.
