What it is

These are 6-inch microfiber polishing pads from Meguiar's, sold as a 2-pack. Each pad mounts on a 6-inch backing plate, and the pads are made for dual-action and rotary polishers. Use them with a compound, a cleaner wax, a polish or an all-in-one detailing product.

How to use it

1. Fit the pad onto a 6-inch backing plate on a dual-action or rotary polisher.
2. Add the compound or polish you have chosen.
3. Go over the work area in small sections, to fix heavy marks or to refine the finish.
4. Rinse the pad well after each use to lift off product residue.
5. Wash the pad, then let it dry completely before you store it.

Good to have on hand: a compound from Meguiar's for tough marks, a cleaner wax or polish for the final finish, and an interior cleaner for leather, vinyl or cloth.
