    Product Description

    Why you'll want it

    • Quick pad changes with no tools. The quick-connect backing lets you attach and remove the pad by hand. Press the center hub in firmly until it locks.
    • Longer life between pad changes. The pad is double-sided. When one face wears or fills with compound, turn it over and use the other face.
    • Built to fit standard backing plates. The 8.5-inch size is listed as fitting standard quick-connect backing plates. Check your buffer's backing plate type before you order.
    • A fall polish before winter storage. Fall is a good time to polish the boat before it goes into winter storage. This pad is sold for polishing jobs.

    What it is

    This is an 8.5-inch double-sided buffing pad from SEM. The face is green wool, and the pad uses a quick-connect backing, which lets you attach and remove it without tools.

    How to use it

    1. Press the center hub firmly onto a compatible quick-connect backing plate until it locks.
    2. Set the buffer to the speed its manufacturer recommends.
    3. When one face is worn or loaded with compound, flip the pad to the opposite face.
    4. After each use, remove excess polish or compound with a pad cleaning tool, or rinse the wool in warm water.
    5. Let the pad air dry fully before you store it or use it again.
