Materials & Construction
STA-BIL Fogging Oil is an aerosol engine treatment that coats internal engine components with a protective oil film, displacing moisture and guarding against corrosion and start-up scuffing after prolonged storage.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Helps protect the engine while it sits. It coats the internal engine parts to help prevent corrosion. It also pushes moisture off the metal, so your engine stays protected during storage.
- Helps prevent scuffing at start-up after storage. It lubricates the cylinder walls, pistons and rings. That helps prevent cylinder damage, called scuffing, when you start the engine again after a long rest.
- Works in most gasoline engines. It is made for all two-cycle and four-cycle gasoline engines. The record lists outboard, marine, small internal combustion and automotive engines.
- Get ready for the off-season. Fall is the time to prepare your engine for storage. Use this oil before the boat goes into the off-season, so the engine is ready when you come back in spring.
What it is
STA-BIL Fogging Oil is an oil treatment made by STA-BIL and sold in a 12 ounce aerosol can. You spray it into the engine to coat the internal parts. The can comes with a nozzle straw that helps you reach tight spots and spark plug holes.
How to use it
- Start the engine and remove the air filter.
- With the engine running, spray the oil into the air intakes.
- Shut the engine off after 10 seconds.
- Remove the spark plugs.
- Attach the extension tube and spray the oil into each cylinder for 3 seconds.
- Replace the spark plugs.
