Materials & Construction
DiTEC G200 is a cerium oxide-based polishing compound that blends ceramics with mild abrasives to lift water spots, stains, and light-to-medium scratches from glass. It restores clarity to automotive and marine glass without the distortion risk of traditional cerium oxide products.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Lifts out water spots and stains. When used with a glass polishing pad, this polish works quickly to take water spots and stains off glass.
- Softens fine wiper scratches and swirls. Fine to medium wiper scratches and swirls can be polished out of the glass with it.
- Built to avoid distorting glass. The maker says it works without distorting or warping the glass, unlike some traditional cerium oxide compounds.
- Clean glass before winter storage. Fall is a good time to clear water spots and stains before the boat goes into winter storage, so the glass is clean when you open it up in spring.
What it is
DiTEC G200 Glass Polishing Compound is a 16oz clear liquid made by DiTEC Marine Products. It is a cerium oxide-based formula that blends ceramics with mild abrasives and nano components. The maker lists it for glass, ceramic, stone and tile.
How to use it
- Use a dual action or forced rotation polisher. The maker highly recommends one.
- Set the speed to about 320-420 RPM. The maker says the right speed may vary with the type of glass and the pad.
- Apply the compound with a microfiber applicator pad or a rayon glass polishing pad.
- Work in sections and polish the glass thoroughly to remove staining, etching and mineral deposits.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a glass polishing pad, a microfiber applicator pad or rayon glass polishing pad, and a dual action or forced rotation polisher, which the maker highly recommends.
