Materials & Construction
This liquid fuel additive is formulated to stabilize gasoline in 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, removing water and guarding against gum, varnish, rust, and corrosion during storage.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- No need to drain the tank. Treat the fuel before storage and you can leave the tank as it is. The record says it keeps fuel fresh for up to 24 months while stored.
- Easier starts after storage. Fuel can break down in as little as 60 days. Gum and varnish can build up and make starting harder. This product helps prevent that build-up.
- Works with ethanol and non-ethanol gas. It works in all gasoline blends, including ethanol blends up to E-85. The product does not contain alcohol.
- Treat fuel before winter storage. Winter storage is the time to add it. Keep the tank 95% full and run the engine 5 minutes after adding it, so the whole fuel system is treated.
What it is
STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer is a liquid fuel additive made by STA-BIL. It is made for 2-cycle and 4-cycle gasoline engines, including marine engines, small engines and powersport equipment. This case holds 12 bottles, each 10 oz.
How to use it
- Use it only with fresh fuel.
- Add 1 oz for every 2½ gallons of fuel. The record says 1 oz treats up to 2½ gallons.
- Fill the tank or gas can to 95% full to limit condensation while the fuel sits.
- Run the engine for 5 minutes after adding it so the whole fuel system is treated.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: fresh gasoline for the tank, and a gas can or tank for storage. No additional items are specified in the product description.
