Why you'll want it

• Fast shine between full washes. Spray it on for a quick touch-up. It lifts light water spots, dust, pollen and smudges, and leaves a glossy, beaded finish.
• Protects the wax you already applied. It is made to protect the shine and staying power of Collinite 845, 476 or 915 wax you have already put on.
• Safe for paint, trim and wheels. It is safe for paint and trim, and for wheels. Use it on the outside of the boat only, and skip matte paint.
• Good for fall haul-out. Before winter storage, a fast spray can lift light dust and water spots. On its own, it gives water-beading durability and weather protection for up to 4 weeks.

What it is

The Collinite 520 Quick Universal Detailer is a spray detailer made by Collinite. It comes as a 64 oz ready-to-use refill that combines cleansers with Collinite's polymer protection. It is sold as an individual item.

How to use it

1. Use it in direct sun.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures. On hot surfaces, spread and drying times are less than optimal.
3. In warmer weather, work in small areas, about 2 by 2 ft.
4. Do not use it on heavily soiled surfaces, such as mud or road dirt. Wash those with a proper wash first.
5. For the most protection, apply it over a base coat of a Collinite finishing wax.

What else the job needs

Good to have on hand: a trigger sprayer, since the 64 oz refill does not include one. Pairs well with a Collinite finishing wax, which the record suggests as a base coat.
