- Made for more than boats. The oil is made for boat wood, outdoor furniture and other hardwood that faces the weather, so one oil can work across your outdoor wood.
- Oil teak before the cold months. Fall is a good time to oil teak, before the cold months and winter weather arrive. The oil is made to guard the wood against weather.
What it is
Star brite Premium Golden Teak Oil is a teak oil made by Star brite, sold in a 16 oz bottle. It is a blend of polymer and tung oil, made to protect teak and other fine woods and to restore their golden color. The oil is meant for boats, outdoor furniture and hardwood surfaces.
How to use it
- Shake the bottle well before you start.
- Apply it only when the temperature is over 50°F.
- Put on rubber gloves to guard your hands.
- For dirty or stained wood, first use the Premium Teak Cleaner from the same maker.
- Use a sponge, cloth or brush, and move with the grain of the wood.
- Wait 5 minutes, then rinse well with fresh water.
- Wipe off any spills or drips right away on any surface you are not treating.
- After cleaning, follow up with this oil or the same maker's Tropical Teak Oil Sealer.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: the same maker's Premium Teak Cleaner for dirty or stained wood, rubber gloves, and a sponge, cloth or brush. Pairs well with the same maker's Tropical Teak Oil Sealer as a follow-up.
