Materials & Construction
STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer is a liquid fuel additive that keeps stored fuel fresh, removes water, and protects engines from gum, varnish, rust, and corrosion for reliable starts after storage.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Fuel can stay fresh for months. Add it to the tank before storage. The fuel can stay fresh up to 24 months while the engine sits.
- Leave the fuel in the tank. You do not have to drain the tank first. It is made for 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
- Takes water out, guards against rust. It takes water out of the fuel, which helps prevent corrosion. It also helps protect the engine from gum, varnish and rust.
- Ready for winter storage. Put it in before winter storage for the boat, car or equipment. It suits gas-powered gear you expect to sit for 30 days or more.
What it is
This fuel treatment comes from STA-BIL. It is sold as a case of four 1-gallon containers. The record says it is made in the U.S.A. and does not contain alcohol.
How to use it
- Pour it straight into the fuel tank before you store the boat, car or small engine.
- Mix it only with fresh fuel.
- Fill the gas can or tank to 95% full. This guards against condensation.
- Let the engine run 5 minutes once the product is in, so it moves through the entire fuel system.
- Each 1-ounce (30 milliliter) dose is enough for 2½ gallons (9.5 liters) of fuel.
