What it is
Star brite Premium Golden Teak Oil, from maker Star brite, is a teak oil sold in a 1-gallon size. It is made with a polymer and tung oil blend and is meant for teak and other fine woods.
How to use it
- Pre-treat any dirty or stained wood with Star brite Premium Teak Cleaner.
- Shake the can well before use.
- Apply with a sponge, cloth or brush, following the wood grain.
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after 5 minutes.
- Work only when the temperature is above 50°F, and wear rubber gloves.
- For a follow-up coat, use Star brite Premium Golden Teak Oil or Tropical Teak Oil Sealer.
- Rinse spills and drips right away from any surface you are not treating.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a teak cleaner for dirty or stained wood, and rubber gloves, since the directions call for them. Pairs well with a teak oil sealer for the follow-up step.
