Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Takes out scratches fast. It is formulated to clear scratches and P1500 sanding marks, and it works quickly.
- Good on tough finishes. Scratch-resistant finishes are included, as are all other paint types.
- Fine on new or cured paint. Use it on fresh paint or on paint that has fully cured. It contains no silicone and no solvents.
- Good before winter storage. Fall is a good time to take out scratches before the boat goes into winter storage.
What it is
This is a heavy cut polish from DiTEC Marine Products, sold in a 32 oz container. Its appearance is a liquid cream, and it has a uniform abrasive grain. It contains no silicone and no solvents.
How to use it
- Pair it with the DiTEC yellow Trapez foam pad.
- For heavy oxidation or scratches, try a 165 mm gray microfiber pad.
- For even heavier oxidation, a 155 mm white microfiber pad is the choice.
- Put enough compound on the pad, or directly on the paint.
- Spread it over the flaw at about 1000 rpm, a low speed.
- Then use light pressure to polish the flaw away.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a yellow Trapez foam pad from DiTEC, a 165 mm gray microfiber pad, or a 155 mm white microfiber pad. The product description lists these pads with this compound.
