Materials & Construction
Malco MaxProduction Compound is a water-based cutting compound formulated to strip away heavy sanding scratches from gel coat and other solid surfaces. It delivers a high-gloss final finish while cutting down on sanding and buffing time, with no waxes, silicones, or fillers to get in the way.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Cut and shine with one product. It rubs out heavy scratches and then leaves a gloss finish. You do not have to switch products to finish the job.
- Less time sanding and buffing. Malco says it greatly cuts down sanding and buffing time. Fewer hours bent over the hull means more hours on the water.
- A true shine, with nothing on top. There are no waxes, silicones or fillers in the formula. The gloss you see is the real surface, and the water-based mix is easy to clean up.
- A winter job with a spring payoff. Gel coat work fits the slow months while the boat is out of the water. Finish it over the winter and launch in spring with a fresh shine.
What it is
MaxProduction is a cutting compound (a product used to rub out scratches) made by Malco, in a 1 gallon size. It takes out P600 and finer sand scratches, which are the marks left by fine sandpaper. It is made for gel coat (the glossy outer layer on fiberglass) and other solid surfaces.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a buffer, the tool used for the buffing time this compound helps cut down.
