Materials & Construction
Star brite Premium Teak Brightener is a liquid wood-restoration formula that removes grey weathering and revives teak's natural golden color and grain without scrubbing.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Skip the scrubbing. Apply the brightener, wait five minutes, then rinse with fresh water. You do not need to rub or scrub the wood.
- Bring back the natural color. The warm, natural tone of teak and fine woods comes back into view, and the grain stands out so the wood looks fresh again.
- Made for boats and furniture. It is made for wood on boats and furniture that has gone grey. It works as the second step, after a teak cleaner.
- A good job for fall. Fall is a good time to refresh teak before the cold sets in. Work with it only when it is warmer than 50°F.
What it is
Star brite Premium Teak Brightener is a liquid wood-care formula from Star brite, sold in a 16 oz size. It brings back the golden tone of teak and other fine woods that have gone grey with weathering. Use it on boats and on furniture.
How to use it
- Clean dirty or stained spots first, using the Star brite teak cleaner.
- Shake well before use.
- Apply it along the grain with a sponge, cloth or brush.
- Once five minutes have passed, rinse well with fresh water.
- Only work with it when it is warmer than 50°F, and wear rubber gloves.
- Once the wood is clean, seal it with a golden teak oil or Tropical Teak Oil Sealer, both named in the directions.
- Rinse away drips at once from any area you are not treating.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a teak cleaner for dirty or stained wood, and a teak oil or sealer to protect the wood afterward. The directions name a Star brite teak cleaner, a golden teak oil from the same line, and a Tropical Teak Oil Sealer.
