Materials & Construction
DiTEC Teak Magic: Part 2 is a gel-consistency teak brightener that serves as the second step in a two-part teak restoration system, safely bringing teak decks and wood furniture back to their natural color and brightness.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Brighter teak without sanding. Teak Magic helps bring back the color and shine of your teak deck or wood furniture, with no sanding.
- Gentle on teak and nearby metal. It is listed as non-destructive and will not burn your skin. Most finished metals are safe with it, and nearly every grade of stainless steel is too.
- Controlled spreading from a gel. The record says the gel clings to decks, rails and wood furniture, so you can work on flat and upright areas.
- A good job for fall. Fall is the season to do this job. The record lists large teak decks and teak furniture as a fit for deep cleaning.
What it is
DiTEC Teak Magic: Part 2, 32oz, is made by DiTEC Marine Products. It is a gel that brightens teak and wood, and it is the step that follows Part 1 of the two-part system.
How to use it
- Sand off any polyurethane or factory coating before you start.
- Apply Part 1 of the system first, then this Part 2.
- Mix 1 part concentrate with 4 parts fresh water in a bucket (1:4).
- Use a polypropylene scrub pad, foam brush or deck brush to work the mix over the area until it covers evenly.
- Rinse it from the teak with water. If it touches aluminum or brass, rinse right away with water.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: DiTEC Teak Magic Part 1, the first step of this system. Pairs well with a bucket and a scrub pad, which the record names for mixing and spreading.
