Materials & Construction
This is a short pile, warp knit microfiber buffing cloth with a high polyamide fiber content, built to grab and remove residue from delicate, high-gloss surfaces while leaving a soft, streak-free finish.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Lifts wax and polish residue. Use it to lift leftover wax, polish or coating residue from paint and glass.
- Soft enough for delicate surfaces. It has 30% polyamide, where standard cloths can have as little as 10%, which makes it softer on delicate finishes.
- Ten cloths ready to use. One pack gives you ten cloths, each 40 x 40 cm, for ready use.
- Clean the topsides before winter storage. If your boat is hauled out this fall, buff off the wax and polish residue before it goes under cover for the winter.
What it is
The Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfiber Buff Cloth is a 10-pack of cloths from Gtechniq Marine. Each cloth is 40 x 40 cm and 300 gsm, made of microfiber with a warp knit build. The blend is 70% polyester and 30% polyamide.
How to use it
- Buff the paint or glass to lift off leftover wax or polish.
- Fold it so a clean side faces the surface as you work, for a streak-free look.
- Wash the cloths apart from other fabrics, at 30°C, with half the usual amount of bleach-free detergent.
- Skip fabric softener, which can clog the microfibers and cut how well they work.
- Vinegar helps with very dirty cloths: add half a cup to the wash.
- Hang it to air dry, or tumble it on a low heat setting.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: a bleach-free detergent for washing the cloths, and vinegar for very dirty ones. Leave fabric softener out of the wash.
