Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Steady scratches, less dust clogging. A stearate layer helps dust come off the sheet. The grain spread is even, so the sanding pattern stays steady from start to finish.
- Made to resist tearing and clogging. Ceramic grains sit on a tough polyester film backing. The record says the sheet resists tearing, fraying and clogging, and has a long service life.
- One sheet for many surfaces. Ideal for dry use on automotive primers and paint, metals, plastics and composites. It also works on putty, wood and composite materials.
- Get winter prep done before spring. Fall and winter are a good time to sand paint, primer and gelcoat work, so your boat is ready when the season opens.
What it is
The RUPES PROCUT Film Delta Abrasive Sheet is a 100mm by 150mm (4 inch by 6 inch) sanding sheet with 10 holes and P120 grit. It has ceramic abrasive grains on a tough polyester (PET) film backing. Lower grit numbers are coarser and remove material faster.
How to use it
- Use it dry, since the record says it is ideal for dry applications.
- Start with the least aggressive grit that does the job.
- Step through progressively finer grits, because skipping stages leaves scratches the next step cannot remove.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: other grits from the same RUPES line, which the record lists from P40 up to P320, for stepping through finer stages.
