Materials & Construction
These are small, adhesive-backed sanding discs with a very fine P3000 grit, used by hand to knock down tiny paint nibs and surface debris so the finish is smooth before polishing or clearcoating.
Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Smooth paint before you polish. These discs are designed to remove small surface nibs and contaminants from paint before final polishing. Use them as the step before compounding or clearcoat polishing.
- Fine P3000 grit for control. The P3000 grit is very fine and made for controlled denibbing. Each disc is 35mm, or 1.25 inches, a size for precise, hand-held use.
- Sticks down with no slip. The adhesive backing gives a secure, no-slip hold when you attach a disc to a hand sanding block.
- Fall is a good time for paint work. Fall is a good time to do paint work on a boat before winter. Denib and polish over the winter so the boat is ready in spring. The pack holds 10 sheets of 10 discs.
What it is
These are RUPES adhesive denibbing discs, made by RUPES. Each disc is 35mm, or 1.25 inches, across and has a very fine P3000 grit. Denibbing means lightly sanding paint to remove small nibs and contaminants.
How to use it
- Peel a disc from the sheet.
- Apply it to a suitable hand sanding block.
- Lightly sand over paint nibs, dust nibs, or other minor surface imperfections.
- Do this before compounding or clearcoat polishing.
What else the job needs
Pairs well with a suitable hand sanding block, plus the compound or clearcoat polish you use next.
