Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Less clogging, even scratch pattern. A stearate layer helps pull dust away from the disc, and the record says it limits clogging. The grain is spread evenly, so your scratch pattern stays consistent.
- Tough backing that lasts. The disc has a tough polyester (PET) film backing. The record says it resists tearing and fraying and gives extended service life.
- Made for paint, primer and gelcoat. Use these discs on paint, putty, primer and gelcoat, and on wood and composite materials. They are made for dry use.
- Ready for fall haul-out work. Fall is a good time to prep paint and gelcoat before the boat goes into winter storage. Finish the sanding now so your boat is ready in spring.
What it is
RUPES makes these PROCUT film abrasive discs. Each disc is 150mm (6 inch) across, has 15 holes, and is P800 grit, a fine grit for finishing. The discs have a tough polyester (PET) film backing, and the box holds 50 discs.
How to use it
- Use the discs dry. The record says they are ideal for dry applications.
- Start with the least aggressive grit that does the job, then step through finer grits.
What else the job needs
Good to have on hand: other grits in this line for the steps before and after P800. The record lists them in boxes of 50.
