Product Description
Why you'll want it
- Made for paint, primer and gelcoat. Built for paint, putty, primer and gelcoat, and for wood and composite materials. Good for removing defects and prepping a surface.
- Dust clears more easily. A stearate coating is said to improve dust extraction and limit clogging, so the disc keeps working.
- Built for a long working life. Ceramic grains and a tough polyester (PET) film backing are made for extended service life.
- A good fall job for the shop. Fall is a good time to sand and prep for paint, primer or gelcoat, so the finish work is ready when you want it.
What it is
RUPES PROCUT Film Abrasive Discs are 125mm (5 inch) sanding discs from RUPES, with 17 holes, in P320 grit, sold as a box of 50. Lower grit numbers are coarser and remove material faster, while higher numbers are finer for finishing. The discs use ceramic abrasive grains on a polyester (PET) film backing.
How to use it
- Start with the least aggressive grit that does the job.
- Step through progressively finer grits, since skipping a stage leaves scratches the next step cannot remove.
What else the job needs
Pairs well with other grits in the same RUPES line, which the record lists as P400, P220, P180, P120 and P80 boxes of 50. No additional items are specified in the product description.
